Oh Christmas Tree!

My gentle, careful Emma did a great job helping me decorate the Christmas tree this year! We went to work while Jackson was napping. Although he wasn't part of the decorating, he has been very respectful of the tree. He has a few ornaments that he is allowed to touch (to make the bells ring), but we have caught him ringing the bells with a bat a couple times!

Yogurt

As I looked at my messy kitchen one day, I decided to let Jackson eat his yogurt all by himself while I did a little cleaning.
He had a great time!
And now I have another mess to clean up! How could I not mention the ear warmer on his head. He loves to put on hat shows with all the winter touques. This was the last one he paraded around before lunch. He's a great kid!

Ballet 2

Her ballet turn! So beautiful!
Jump!
Marching - suppose to be pointing the toes.

Ballet

This fall Emma was in a dance class. (Her choice!) Here is her plie! Notice the toes pointed out like a pizza slice.
Arm over like a rainbow!
Dip the toe in the paint. I don't know the ballet term for this move, but I remember the teacher using the paint expression.

More fair Pictures

Little worms irrigating the earth.
Jackson can't ride a tractor without making a tractor sound.
Do I need to say that we had a good time!

Royal Winter Fair

Emma and Jackson went downtown with Grandma and Gramp for the Royal Winter Fair. Greg and I met up with them after work.
At first Jackson wasn't so sure about these friendly animals but got used to them very quickly.
With a little bit of food, Emma knows exactly what to do.

Zoo

We headed to the zoo on one of the nice days we had this month.

We have a new polar bear exhibit at the zoo, so we spend a lot of time watching them. They are always active when we see them, but not the one in the picture so much.

Jackson's favourite sea horse in the coral reef.
If you click on the last picture you can see there is never an uneventful day for us. Jackson is wearing this on his forehead. Ouch!

Swamp Fest 2

There were a few games that Jackson could enjoy. He likes anything that involves throwing.

Jackson reinvented the game of bowling. Stealing the pins and kicking the ball.

Trick or Treat

Here are the well anticipated Halloween pictures!
Jackson is showing you some of our pumpkins! He would have loved to do some smashing with them!
Emma, Jackson and Greg posing with our carved pumpkins.
Here is our little princess ($3.00 for a crown and scepter. we already had a beautiful dress) and Horton the Elephant ($10.00). I was quite happy about the inexpensive costumes! I originally had a bee costume for Emma that I found at a garage sale but that wasn't "pretty" enough for her.
Here we are out Trick or Treating. It was cold and tiring. Emma had more fun handing out the candy once we got home.
